This website is meant to showcase what we have learned in the English course ‘ENG 3U2’ and apply it to a theme of our choice (in this case, power) as well as the world around us. In the course we have analyzed many short stories, William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, and William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Macbeth.
We have analyzed poetry, films, television, music, and photography. In poetry and music, we found deeper meaning within the words and lyrics that relate to our theme. In films and TV, our theme was present even if it was not the theme of said media. In photography, we look at the details in every photo wherever signs of power abuse are present.
